The Mark 15 Sextant features 3x telescope with
ground glass lenses. Full 2-mirror adjustment with thumb screws
allows instant alignment. Mirrors are fully protected by housing.
Seven sunshades allow complete independent shading for horizon and
index mirrors. Vernier reads to two minutes of arc (2 nautical
miles); interpolation allows even finer reading. Markings are easy
to read white on black. Slow travel wheel may be used for fine
adjustments of index arm or may be instantly disengaged for rapid
movement. Hooded sight tube gives glare-free images. Includes
case, telescope and booklet.
