Data Analysis Consulting for Long Island

"Data analysis is the process of finding the right data to answer your question, understanding the processes underlying the data, discovering the important patterns in the data, and then communicating your results to have the biggest possible impact"      Coursera

What secrets  lurk in the heart of your database ? Have you years worth of accumulated information in SQL Server, Oracle or MS Excel tables that are trying to tell you what your customers really want, or which one of your salespeople really do know (or don't) what they are doing ? Are you sure that advertisement campaign did (or didn't) result in higher sales ? Perhaps sales just go up or down that time of year anyway ?

We can chart sales (or any thing else) year over year - or compare fiscal quarters by year ? How about sales by product category ? Chances are your data tables have the fields needed to start answering questions like these.

Some recent data analysis work:

Sales analysis in Tableau for SteriCheck Sytems

Patient population (age, treatment, length of stay, location in facility, physician, referring facility ) analysis for South Oaks Hospital.

Done in MS Access with extensive charting and ETL. (this was a complete application with menus, data uploading (from mainframe files) and extensive switches built into the reporting)

We are data analysts, business consultants, and  programmers.

We see the data  in context and as part of your business. We have 20 years of understanding data in hundreds of business situations across scores of industries.  We design systems to automate process, to control systems and to allow for easy reporting.

We come to understand and then work to advance your business.

We advise you  on the whole  process – the full range of activities involved in computer data - from the start :

1) The  costs/benefits of a data project; be it a website, an in-house program or data warehousing and data mining.

2) Recommendations as to the technology to use and then:

3) The design of the data infrastructure, from the servers and computers to the network they are on to:

4) The design of the database tables: these are the foundations of the whole project and must be well built to efficiently support the data input and reporting.

5) We are 20 year experts in data design and front end programming, that is the design of data entry forms and the menu systems around them. We are also experts on:

6) Reporting: we have written thousands of reports, both “by hand’ in code and using various report writing programs.

We work with Tableau, Microsoft SSRS, MS Access, many other data analysis applications and tools - and as programmers and experts in databases we are able to actually write reports ourselves in most any language on the market.
